This new release from the Diageo-owned brand has been inspired by founder Charles Tanqueray’s journeys to France and is made with juicy, ripe French blackcurrants.
The expression joins Flor de Sevilla and Rangpur Lime in the brand’s flavoured gin range and is created with a Tanqueray London Dry Gin base blended with a delightful mix of blackcurrants, vanilla and exotic floral notes of black orchid.
The flavour profile is rich and fruity, offering subtle sweet notes from the vanilla with floral tones on the finish – all balanced by the four classic London Dry botanicals.
Tanqueray’s Head of Europe Gin Innovation, Janine Blakeway-Ely, said about the new release: “The idea behind Tanqueray Blackcurrant Royale was born from combining the elegant world of Tanqueray with a unique and differentiated offering.”

Serving Suggestions
It can be enjoyed in a refreshing gin and tonic drink, served with a premium tonic water, ice and garnished with a handful of blackcurrants or blackberries and a wedge of lemon.
Alternatively, it can be served in a coupette glass with prosecco or used as a base in a number of delicious cocktails.
