Sipsmith have unveiled their new tipple for Summer 2021 – Strawberry Smash Gin, and we’re super excited to tell you all about it!
This new offering from Sipsmith is the second release from their limited-edition “Sipping Series” gins, following last year’s Chilli & Lime Gin, and has been created using the unused strawberries from the 2020 harvest of Hugh Lowe Farms in Kent – the exclusive grower for the Wimbledon Championships.
Strawberry Smash Gin is made using sweet, ripe Kentish strawberries and a hint of English mint, creating a delightfully refreshing and fruity serve with a perfectly balanced flavour.
Sipsmith Master Distiller, Jared Brown, said of the new release: “This year with Sipsmith becoming the Official Gin Partner of Wimbledon we felt it was quite right to harness the taste of British summertime and use last year’s Championships strawberries to make this year’s champion gin.
“As with all of our innovative gins we crafted Strawberry Smash to our exacting standards by layering complimentary sweet ripe strawberries, fresh English mint and refreshing citrus fruits on top of our original London Dry Gin base to create a delightfully fruity and refreshing gin with a smooth and balanced finish.”

Palate: Sweet, juicy strawberries lead, refreshing mint, citrus
Finish: Delicate fruity notes, dry juniper, smooth mint finish
Serving Suggestions
Strawberry Smash Gin has summer written all over it, making it ideal for a number of delicious strawberry themed cocktails. It also makes a smashing G&T! – simply pour 50ml of Strawberry Smash Gin into an ice-filled highball, followed by 150ml of chilled premium tonic water and garnish with freshly sliced strawberries.
