Buckingham Palace Release a Gin Made with Botanicals Picked from the Queen’s Garden

Buckingham Palace Gin

The Royal Collection Trust, a department of the Royal Household, have created a premium small-batch London Dry Gin made with botanicals hand-picked straight from Buckingham Palace’s gardens.

Queen Elizabeth II is known to enjoy a tipple of gin, with her favourite cocktail said to be gin and Dubonnet, a sweet wine-based aperitif, so what better way to celebrate her love for the spirit than to create her very own.

Buckingham Palace Gin is made with 12 botanicals, several of which have been hand-picked directly from the gardens at Buckingham Palace including lemon verbena, hawthorn berries, bay leaves and mulberry leaves.

Serving Recommendation – Classic Gin & Tonic

The gin is said to have citrus and herbal notes and is best served in a traditional G&T.

– Pour a measure of the gin into an ice-filled short tumbler before topping up with tonic and garnishing with a slice of lemon.

Buckingham Palace Gin is presented in a beautiful bottle made of turquoise glass, it features a coronet and is elegantly decorated with flowers. On the back of the bottle it features a sketch of Buckingham Palace and comes with a gold-coloured stopper. The premium gin will be served at all future official royal events at the palace.

All profits from sales of the gin will go to The Royal Collection Trust, a registered charity, and will help fund the care and conservation of the Royal Collection. The Royal Collection is one of the largest and most important art collections in the world.

Buckingham Palace Gin (70cl/ABV 42%) is available to purchase online from the Royal Collection Trust Website by clicking here, priced at £40. It will also be available to buy at Royal Collection Trust shops when they reopen.
