With Summer nearly upon us, we’re already preparing for some beautifully warm weather. However, coping when it gets too hot is a nightmare that is shared by many British people, and the occasional gin slushy can really help us to get through the hottest of days.

What if we told you that you can mix some of your favourite spirits with your slushies for an adult take on the classic drink? We love indulging in gin cocktails in the summer, and slushy cocktails are even nicer. Today, we are going to be sharing some of our favourite frozen gin slushy cocktail recipes with you. Before we begin, please note that you will need a blender for some of these recipes.

Wimbledon is here, and with it come strawberries and cream aplenty. This refreshing slushy is perfect for the hottest of days under the sun, when the shade is hard to find. Offering refreshing notes of strawberry and a citrus-infused backdrop, it is difficult not to fall in love with this delightful drink.

Ingredients:

– 2 Cups of Ice
– 100g Fresh Strawberries
– 50ml BLOOM London Dry Gin
– 20ml Honey
– Fresh Strawberries
– Sprig of Mint for Ganish (optional)

Method:

1. Take your fresh strawberries and put them in your blender. Then, add the fresh honey. Blend both the honey and the strawberries together until you are left with a relatively smooth consistency.
2. Add your BLOOM London Dry Gin and blend the mixture again.
3. Next, add your ice bit by bit, adding more between each blending moment until your slushy appears to be the right consistency.
4. Taste your slushie. If it still tastes quite bitter, then you could continue to add more honey to the mixture. Keep adjusting until it matches your preferences.
5. Take a chilled glass of your choice and pour your cocktail slushie.
6. For an added touch, perhaps garnish your strawberry gin slushie with some freshly chopped strawberries.
